January 28, 2008 — Bodman LLP partners Christopher J. Dine and Christopher A. Ballard have been chosen by their peers to appear in the 2008 edition of the prestigious journal The Best Lawyers in America® (Copyright 2007 by Woodward/White, Inc., of Aiken, S.C.), making Bodman the only Michigan law firm with two lawyers listed in the Non-Profit/Charities Law category.
Dine, a partner in Bodman’s Detroit office, represents nonprofits, trusts, foundations, corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and individuals in tax and general business and commercial matters. He regularly advises nonprofit and tax exempt organizations regarding obtaining and maintaining exempt status, corporate governance and general operational issues. Dine, who is also a certified public accountant, is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School.
Ballard, a partner in Bodman’s Ann Arbor office, focuses his practice in nonprofit organizations, estate planning, trusts administration, taxation and business planning. He is a member of the Washtenaw Estate Planning Council and a director and secretary of the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County. Ballard is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School.
