Akers Appointed Co-chair of Judicial Crossroads Task Force Business Impact Committee

Diane L. Akers, a partner in Bodman’s Detroit office, has been appointed co-chair of the Business Impact Committee of the Judicial Crossroads Task Force. The Task Force, recently created by the State Bar of Michigan, will address maintaining judicial services despite decreased funding and the economic downturn.
The Task Force will be comprised of judges and practicing attorneys and includes four committees: Business Impact, Court Structure, Technology, and Access to Justice.
In her legal practice Akers focuses on business and commercial litigation and has substantial experience managing class actions and complex litigation. She serves as chair of the State Bar of Michigan’s Business Law Section and on various committees for the State Bar and the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association.
