Mr. Hipp is chairperson of the Firm’s Real Property Practice Group and concentrates his practice in real estate and real estate finance, including loan originations for lenders, representation of borrowers, purchase and sale of real estate, leasing, construction and development. Mr. Hipp has represented buyers and sellers in real estate sale and purchase transactions ranging from single family homes to multi-million dollar commercial properties such as hotels, apartment projects and shopping centers. He also has extensive experience negotiating and drafting commercial leases for both lessors and lessees. He regularly advises clients on all aspects of loan transactions, and has worked with institutional clients to develop form documents and procedures.
Mr. Hipp is counsel for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit, representing the Archdiocese in a wide variety of matters including real estate, contracts, construction and litigation.
