Ms. Durant counsels clients regarding employment law, bank regulatory and consumer credit issues. She also edits the FICC News, a compliance newsletter that details the implications of state and federal laws and regulations for financial institutions.
Ms. Durant has spoken at the Michigan Bankers Association’s Collection Practices Seminar and at its Human Resources Conference. She has presented seminars on various bank regulatory issues, including deposits, the Bank Secrecy Act, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and on employment issues such as drug testing, harassment, hiring, and discipline and termination. She has contributed articles to the Firm’s labor and employment newsletter, Recent Developments in Employment Law, and to the FICC News.
