Alliance with Kilpatrick & Associates

On November 15, 2006, Bodman LLP formed a strategic alliance with Kilpatrick & Associates, a highly regarded corporate law firm with special expertise in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights.

Kilpatrick & Associates, which qualifies as a minority-owned firm under Michigan Minority Business Development Council guidelines, serves corporate and governmental clients, Chapter 7 trustees and individual creditors, from offices in Auburn Hills and Detroit. The firm was formed in 2000 by Richardo I. Kilpatrick, a noted bankruptcy attorney and former chair of the American Bankruptcy Institute.

The strategic alliance offers significant benefits to both firms and to our clients. We can now serve existing clients and market services to prospective clients by drawing upon the depth and experience that each firm offers. The alliance allows the firms to remain separate legal entities, with prospective clients retaining either Bodman or Kilpatrick & Associates.
